Not at launch, and Rockstar has not announced any multiplayer for later. The only claim of a date comes from Twitch CEO Dan Clancy, who told Bloomberg that GTA 6 multiplayer launches 'next year', meaning 2027.
Clancy runs Twitch, not Rockstar, and he was talking about expected viewing numbers. Rockstar and Take-Two have not confirmed a multiplayer mode, a name for it or a date, so we list it as a rumor with a named source rather than a fact.
Until then, GTA 6 is a single-player game, and both store listings describe it that way. Polygon counts the timing of an online mode among the biggest questions the August previews left unanswered. If Rockstar announces anything, it will come through its Newswire first, and we will update this entry the same day.
